This was added onto our July 2020 "what is still open during this pandemic" tour.

Bath has the definitive Roman Baths in the UK because they were "reconstructed" by the Victorians so they look as if they are incredibly well-preserved and fully intact with lovely classical statuary on the rooftops etc.

Due to Covid there was timed entry and a one-way system, but they had let far too many people in so everything backed up into huge queues and they had taken away all the chairs and bug-out shortcuts, so I was in quite a lot of pain by the time I managed to escape to a vaguely horizontal surface to take the weight off my legs - although it did lead me to discover the existence of lightweight plastic stools that collapse in the style of a travel mug into a round disc like a button on a strap, which has massively improved my life thereafter.
